BaNES Active Travel Consultations – Might Not Happen

“This is the first stage of the consultation. IF we decide to proceed with any of these schemes you will receive a second, but formal opportunity, to comment on final proposal when the necessary traffic orders to enforce (ETROs) are advertised”

Councillor Dine Romero, Active Travel Webinar 4/3/21

This is not a done deal.

You MUST, I repeat MUST, fill in the consultation here: https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/active-travel-schemes

Scholar’s Way will not happen without your support. It really is as simple as that. There are a lot of people that do not want to see it happen and if you watch the webinar you will see some of those reasons really do not make sense.

Fill in the consultation now. It literally takes a few minutes but will make such a huge difference to so many people of all ages: https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/active-travel-schemes

Stop reading and click on that link.

Seriously? Why have you not clicked here https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/active-travel-schemes

  1. Hi

Have clicked on it as requested and come up with a load of maps. I cannot see any consultation to fill in.

  2. The stretch of the river bank that runs between The Penny Bridge and The Locksbrook is dangerous. The path meanders so it’s hard to see very far ahead and its too narrow to accommodate the cycle traffic, which increases exponentially on weekends. I have seen cyclists abuse pedestrians with prams for getting in their way, arguments between cyclists and pedestrians when the cyclist hit them and dogs run over by bikes o n several occasions. I even saw a child cycle into the canal to avoid a speeding cyclist. Now there are electric scooters. Its an accident waiting to happen.
